Attributing the term ratchet to solely being a women is grossly incorrect. In turn having people misinterpret its meaning and use it incorrectly. Those who enter information, similar to wikipedia, may not be a reliable source. Unfortunately urban dictionary is heavily used by people who are not familiar with the culture that terms are originated. However, the definition you so boldly posted with certainty on your blog is COMPLETELY WRONG! Cursing on social networks in ways that seem redundant, posting inappropriate statuses or pictures are all examples of being ratchet. videos of them twerking or doing any other inappropriate actions. A person is ratchet based on what they post on social networks, i.e. random twerking in the streets, being extremely loud, wearing a certain outfit that is totally inappropriate to the occasion. A person can be considered ratchet if he/she behaves in a manner that shows that they care very little about what others think, i.e. Anyone can be ratchet, men and women alike. Ratchet is a type of behavior….not a person.
